Christmas time was here again.

So wow Ash and I just got back from our 12 days of christmas starting on Dec. 17th with a trip to Madison, INdiana and ended Dec 26 on a ride home from sibley.. here are some highlights

Dec. 17th- Drive 10 hours get amazing meal from Nancy (ash's mom), open gifts, watch Vikings destroy bears
Dec. 18th Hang in Madison, Play vintage guitars, eat salad bars hang ith Nacny some more
Dec. 19th Eat lunch with Ryan and Tina (ash's dad and step mom) and Ashley gets her first Skyline Chilli
Dec. 20th Hang in Indy a bit, see Ash's old friends hang out with little kids and get to Ash's grandmas
Dec. 21st Hang with Ash's grandma and aunt, eat to much and hang out with Parrot and Doggie
Dec. 22nd open more presents fun stuff
Dec. 23rd wake up at 5am drive through hell and highwaster to minneapolis 12 hour trip did not make the vikings game on time
Dec. 24th See my fam.. everyone there and its wonderful from all over the world more presents ash and I rule as far as giving
dec. 25 granny m's
dec. 26 come home

So I loved seeding all the grandmas, and bro and sissis and family it was a great trip..

Ashley and I said we were not giving presents but I gave her 12 bad asss gifgts and she gave me a new old movie I have never heard of that blew my mind.. so cool anyway I love christmas and had the best one yet!

The Great Baseball Debate

SO I admit I was offered Steroids in the high school football lockeroom also while playing college baseball at DMACC.. Did i ever take them NO, do I know many people who did, friends and teamates.. YES...
BUT the fact of the matter is... IN Baseball I do not believe it makes one bit of difference.. Seriously.. its such a skills game..
Being stronger is not going to make you throw a better slider, field a hard ground ball, or hit a baseball more times than not.. SO as far as I'm concerned ROGER CLEMENS is still the greatest pitcher of all time.. Argue with me all you want! he won 4 Cy Youngs before anyone ever said he even took Steroids..

I new catch fraze for the FART

So when i was younger for some reason I dont know when ever me and my friend Doug S. farted we said we went to Vegas..
or you would say I'm going to go to Vegas and then you would fart... Why we chose Vegas is beyond me... Lately my farts have been smelling like Soup.. Why I don't know.. It might have to do with the amount of Oatmeal I have been eating but anyway so this morning I made Ashley a Smoothie and was enjoying an apple when I let one ripped and it honestly smelled like an empty soup can so I said man THAT WAS A WARHOL... and I loved the fraze WARHOL for a good smelling fart... Try it its fun..

This song just killed me from first listen, its probably not even close to being the best song on the cd but this one hit me the most. I'm glad I got to see it live.

I think this is the best song Ryan has ever written and the production on it is fantastic.. Listen to it in a good pair a bassy headphones and you can hear the sea rolling in to carry you away. Absolutely amazing..

So this past weekend was great.. I did sound for Aeon Gray Cd release shows and they were a hoot I have been rapping ever since.. He wants me to cut some rhymes with him on a Dis track.. more on that some other time..

Then on Saturday after we stopped at Copyworks to pick up Ash's credit card that she left there.. We hit up an Indian Buffet and filled our tummies and headed down to Des moines for craft Saturday.. Which was extreamly good, I got some christmas presents and got myself a few new t-shirts featuring Eric Moffit and Wolves in the Attic. not bad. Then Ash and I went to the Mall.. Now the Merle Hay has never been my favorite mall, but we thought we have to get this shopping done sometime.. Anyway, Ash was getting fed up so I was doing everything in my power to have a good time.. so when we went into this Sport Store I put a catchers mask on her and started throwing balls off her head.. I thought it was so fucking funny I about shit myself indian.. But the best was when this middle aged couple went by and I said, "Hey You Want To See Something," and the guys like, "Ah Ah Ok" and then a I threw a ball off Ashley's head.. And he loved it.. He then grabbed a bat and said.."Why don't you use this".. I thought it was Classic now Ashley had really had enough...
ok lots more to the mall story but I will give you a quick run down..
1. The sign person we got a gift for thought my idea was a little bit over-kill and get what he was wrong..
2. the Nut man is never open when you need him.
3. Ashleys face reading the ingridiants to beans from Taco Johns
4. Talking to a hair product lady about House of Pain opening for the Ramones
5. Hearing Tighten Up in a baseball card shop., then it going into What A Wonderful World.. this Ipod kicks fucking ass.
6. Taking an hour to drive home from des moines cause the windshield kept freezing over..

What a day..
Then Sunday was rad we cleaned, drank and watched the vikes and then watch America's next top model re-run..
Not a bad sunday at all!

WILCO is coming back to the VAL AIR BALLROOM in Des Moines... FUCK YEAH... I have seen them there twice already both times the bomb.. its such an amazing venue.. Hell Louis Armstrong played there... So did PCC once.. and it was a hoot... Devin also brought Ashley and I to see Dr. John.. there OH SUCH A NIGHT! Anyway.. Im stoked this is why......

Also good buddy Shawn if your reading this.. Let me just say PCC will open for Wilco for Free if you could make that happen.. OOOOPS But you will still get paid!

I'm obsessed!

Its seems like every year a new artist gets into my system and becomes one of my all time favorites...
Last year I was obsessed with the Band.. still am.. and a few years before the Kinks (thanks dev) But this year its definately ELVIS COSTELLO.. Im hook.. Joe and Don went and saw him open for DYLAN.. I should have spent the dough and went.. but I didnt next time for sure!.....

What a question?

So this morning Ashley and I sat together for tea and coffee and she wondered why it was so different in movies if they show a females nipples and a males penis head..
You know you can get away with an R rating if a females nipples are showing.. while if a males nipples are showing its PG... BUT if a penis makes the cut (not the bobbit way) its like an NC17... now why is this... She wondered.. I told her I never seen a film with either so I didnt really know.. can anyone help me with this...

Ok so I admit while on tour at Jason and Kay's from Casper and the Cookies I spotted the Children of Nuggetts Box Set which I have wanted since it was released a few years back.. BUT the $$$ cost of it has always been a little out of my range and shit how much would I like 80's psych music anyway... So Jason walks in the room and he see's me downloading the whole thing on my IBOOK and I said hey hope you dont mind Im helping myself to this and he said, I dont care its my roomates.. so hopefully he dosnt care either... ok.
To tell you the truth so far Im a little disapointed.. Sure I love the Dukes of Stratesphere and The Soft Boys but I already have those songs... But yesterday while on my run I got the worst shins splints since 7th grade track from running in the snow.. But a song came on the pod by a band called the Nashville Ramblers that blew my mind.. IT must be the blue print to Alien Lanes by GBV and Poneyoak by Kleenex Girl Wonder I love it so much here it is for your enjoy

Renee's Shoreline's Top 10 albums of 2007... you know you want it!

Well the time has come for me to tell you the 10 albums that blew my mind this year... This keeps getting alot tuffer and tuffer in the internet world where I can hear a half an album pretty much for free before you buy it... And then there is the records you buy just cause you love the bands other catalog.. Well let me tell you some of those records didnt crack the top ten, And shit I can't put in that record that came out by my band even though my dear friends are amazing songwriters and they deserve the praise, you know, but I know you want it already so here we go....


10. Person Pitch by Panda Bear.... The moment I heard a few songs from this album I knew I had to get it. Pure lo-fi psych pop beauty.. It makes me wish OTC would give it another whirl, but this will fill the void for now..


9. I Guess That's What We're Dying For by Chistopher the Conquered.... This self-released record spins around musical styles like a tiltawhirl and just when you feel like it's spinning off the edge it gets pulled back by another wonderful song with amazing horns and piano.. Pretty fucking amazing for some kid from Des Moines names Chris.. Trust me he Conquered!


8. Night Falls Over Kortedala by Jens Lekman...
I must admit I'm a lyrics guy, they can swing a bad sounding song into a blistful serenade.. Jens dosnt have that problem cause his lyrics are fantastic and the timpani swells get me everytime!


7. Hey Venus by Super Furry Animals... This record is not officially out in the states yet but has been availible from Itunes sinces August, and I just started really getting into the record.. Its a concept album about this gal named Venus and its the 8 studio record in a 11 years from SFA.. Not their best but far better than that new Radiohead album everybody worshiping..


6. GA GA GA GA GA by Spoon... Man this band has come along ways. You can just tell they are dripping with confidence on this record, wonderful songs, production and I found the Beatlesque song cycle irresistible. Love that Album cover too.


5. The Garden Path by Ryan Anderson.... Two years in a row that one of Ryan's records has been in my top ten.. This time around he hopped off the train and right into a story about our country present day.. His story songs fucking kill me and shit I am so thankful I'm lucky enough to not only be his biggest fan but a great friend!


4. Pipers at the Gates of Dawn (40th anniversary) by Pink Floyd.... Why you may ask would I put a record that 40 years old on my list.. Because if it came out today it would still be considered a head of its time... FUCKING MIND BLOWING.. in Stereo in Mono in headphones, in a car, on an ipod, no matter where you hear this every moment is exciting.


3. Albatross: How We Failed to Save the Lone Star State with the Power of Rock N Roll by Fishboy... Man this is one of the most exciting non-stop half an hours you will ever experience.. ITs like mixing Jesus Hits Like the Atom Bomb by Tripping Daisy and Airplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel... Lets just say both those albums are some of my all time favorites!


2. Sky Blue Sky by Wilco... Now what can I say about Wilco that has not already been said.. NOTHING.. But the reason this record is so satisfying and wonderful is that Jeff and the gang are making music for people their age.. They are not trying to do a Billy Corgan who keeps making records for 15 year olds with broken hearts.. this is a masterpiece..


1. Neon Bible by the Arcade Fire... I don't know how many people I have gotten into arguments with about which Arcade Fire album is better Neon Bible or Funeral and you know what my conclusion is.. Whats better for you Water or Food.. Seriously they are both needed to survive. and Make life a whole lot easier..

Home Again

Well geez I had the longest weekend ever.. Ashley left friday morning and so much happened since then..
here a quick run down...
1. Got to give a double guitar lesson.. Which sucked cause one kid didnt know the g-chord and one kid was playing the solo the SWEET CHILD OF MINE!
2. CLINT CURTIS's band was damn good.
3. KEEPERS played a legendary show on Friday.. Full of Pile drivers and drummers taking the lead..
4. I ate to much this weekend.. here is a run down.. bag of blue corn chips with Hummus, 4 bowls of Oatmeal with cane suger, 2 tofu sauseges, 1 vegan Amy's pizza, salad with tempeh, another thing of tempeh, some glad corn, 6 beers, 2 gallons of OJ, 1 chug mug in a pear tree.
5. I had the shits all weekend

7. slept on the futon in front of tv... Watch Montery POP, CASINO, Virgin Suicides, and the SLow Century Pavement Doc.

I dont, why because Portishead has a new album coiming out... I used to listen to the self titled album to fall asleap at night in high school. so amazing I will buy this the day it comes out...

So winter has come to iowa.. It snowed last week but its all gone now but damn its cold out..

sorry for the lack of posts.. So much has been going on...
Tour was great... got to play some of the most inspiring shows of my life with Joe and I will treasure those 2 weeks always!

Thanksgving was great.. Ash and I made a Vegan feast for about 10 and it was amazing...

Seeing the band this weekend was a hoot.. recording on our new tape machine and practicing sooo good.

Now the sad news the Lead Singer of Quiet Riot is Dead... I saw him at the Iowa State fair from the front row in High School He came out with his mic stand in his teeth I thought that was Bad fucking ass!
I even bought a t-shirt!

Well yesterday I left for tour with Joe T. and Casper and the Cookies.. Our show last night was very fun in Omaha not that well attendid but Scott was there, Scuds my little sis , our pal Mike, our Old Buddy Joe from Someday never, Landon From Little BRazil and some other who were very nice.. One dude particuarly who bought Joe T. and I shots during our set..

So we stay up and talked and she showed us her Shot glas collection.. Could Ashley T. and I bought her a shot glass on our Honeymoon and still have given it to her..
but its a wonderful place and she was great for having us...

On the homefront... Ashley and I might be getting new carpet so I got to talk to ashley after she had the desinger come over and take measurments and stuff.. Im kinda excited about it, its our first kinda home project besides painting which we will have to do again too.. But its all exciting.. Got to talk to Ashley while she was at Borders checkin into massage cds as well.. Sounds like she is doing good and I miss her a ton..

So we will probably have 9 extra bodies sleeping on our floors tonight but Im excited to see them.. Casper and the Cookies is who Joe and I will be touring with.. So it should be a great big ball of fun...

I got stressed yesterday cause we had a review that compared us to Modest Mouse and I cant stand that band.. But Ashley made me feel better cause she said atleast you have a Modest SPOUCE...

Well Im the luckiest Godfather ever.. cause Merrick Gagcke is my Godaughter.. I love her so and she turns the big 3 today Nov. 1st..
3 years ago to the day I wrote, recorded, and mixed a song about her, right after I got word of her being born.. Man I put some good drums on that song.. Anyway She is amazing and I love her so.. HAPPY B-day MERRICK!

Sing us a Song Piano Man

Well the time has come, I am now the last member of the Poison Control Center to live in our "HOME TOWN" of Ames.
With Ephraim in Iowa City, Devin in Columbia, MO and Joe t. now moving down to Des Moines.. Im a little bit lonely here in Ames..
Im super excited for Joe that he can now hit the road all the time with no need to get a house and cat sitter.. But its sad to see him move out of that apartment.. My all time Favorite PCC recording happened in that place.. on a song about Ashley Called "Magical One".. So in my little world its kinda like closing the doors to a great old ball park.. you know there is history there..
BUT there nothing likeing RIPPING one of the grandstand seats out of that old ball park and putting it in your basement..

In other words I have alwasy wanted a Piano and it might as well be the Piano that my favorite band recorded my favorite song with.... Not a bad piece of my musical history.. Thing is it took 3 dudes (eric joe and i) to get it lodge in my door way for about a half hour.. when "MS. MAGICAL ONE" was saying to take off the door instead of just being dudes and pushing it though...
WELL MAGICAL ONE wins again... But now we have a piano and I still love her as much as I did before.. Hopefully she still feels the same about me and scuffy up our door, floor, and steps.. OH Boy... thanks hun!

Things that make my day...

1. Getting a free CHUG Mug.. so Ash and I were at a truck stop getting some water and Coffee and the guy behind to counter says.."When i saw you two I thought Beauty and the Beast" I was the beast.. but he gave me my Chug Mug for free.. Thats Aweseome..

2. Happy halloween.. We had all these little kids come to our door yesterday it was awesome natually we didnt have any candy so the kids got healthy SPRY GUM that Ashley gives to her clients that I get in trouble for taking.. cause they are for clients .. so ash went a bought some Candy.. The best costumes I saw were Super Mario and Danta Culpepper...

I used to go to this place called john Waynes in Indianapolis to watch games and there was always other vikings fans there.. And today there was a dude from Minnesota watching the Vikes with me...
But All vikings fans everywhere are in the same mood today! Fuck em!

Nether Nether land!

Well last night was wonderful Ash and i went to Wild Oats had a killer $$$$$alad Bar and then stocked up on snacks from the bulk section to sneek into the Movies.. We went to The Darjeeling Limited the new Wes Anderson movie..
Wes is kinda one of Ash and I's favorite for multiple reasons but one of our first dates was to one of his films and We both love all his other movies so it was great.. I love the film.. His movies always make me want to hang out with my family... His films are just touching and wonderfull..
Ok GO SEE IT..

So today Im bumming around until 1 pm when the Vikings game starts.. I have got SULLEYS sports bar in my view to watch the game... its close to where Ashley's class is and its a cool spot. Since the Stealers are in town to play the Bengals downtown CINICI is pretty crowded with folks.. I got lucky this morning I got to watch the Stealers hop on thier bus coming out of the NETHERLAND HOTEL.. so if your favorite football team is playing in CINCI thats probably where they are staying.. ITs incredible to see NFL football players up close they are fucking huge! Anyway... No autographs for me.. but it was fun hanging out there..
Tonight we head to one of the most beautiful little towns in the world Madison, IN to see Nancy, Ashley's mom...

I leave on an acoustic troubodor type tour on Saturday. for 2 weeks.. Looking forward to spending some time with Joe T. and my friends Casper and the Cookies..

No Rest for the Dreary..

Well nothing like getting home from Nyc and hopping right back in the car and driving a whole day to CINCINATTI..
Ashley is getting some more training on Spinal Reflex stuff.. which is rad and she is already really great at it.. So we are here for the weekend.. She's got class from 9-6 fri-sun..
So its giving me some time to work from our bad ass new laptop thanks to Ryan Anderson for the fat deal on it..

I like Cincinatti always have.. PCC has played here a bunch and I have done 3 solos shows here to I bet I have played atleast 10 times here.. which is rad.. But I have never really explored the city much.. We are are right down town so I scoped out a great Indian Buffett for lunch yesterday then I have been coffee bar hopping.. I ended yesterday drinking bud light at a sports bar with Wireless. We are staying with Ashley's Half brothers fam and they are great.. Her half brother Chris has really gotten into movies.. And is always checking if they are in the All Movie Guides top 250 which I looked at with him and thought was a load of SHIT, I got no problem with Godfather being number 1 and and Godfather II being number 3 but the Wizard of OZ number Twenty something come the fuck on... and shit he couldnt believe I knew anything about the Critieron Collection.. Guess It appears I was born in a barn.. Anyway I told him about RUSHMORE and he had never heard of it.. and was kinda makeing a big deal about it and I said its probably in the top 250 and it was not.. BUMMER....Been lots of Fun though hanging with them...

Some crazy shit has been going down in Sibley my hometown I got an e-mail from Daneille W. that Joe Bradfield our high school teacher got arrested for having a loaded gun in his car on school property I had to call my mom to get the lo-down and she said that JOE is getting Wierd and I said thats why I loved him so much as a teacher.. I think he is a great dude and I hope that whole shit blows over...

Also congrats to my pops for retireing from refereering... My mom brought him some flowers in a ref sock yesterday.. My pops has been officiating some sort of sports for 40 years now... since he was a kid and I want to congradulate him...

Well other things I have learned while in CINI
1. the really old Flaming lips stuff sounds like Janes Addiction
2. There is a Pete Rose Museum here I want to find..
3. I saw a women pick her nose and eat it on highway.. Ashley didnt believe me we watch her and she did it again.. A thumb picker too, my favorite..
4. Ashley farted in the car this morning and it smelled like Indian Food.
5. Bums like Library bathrooms for showers

The Fall Classic!

Man so last night I was apart of a music panel for the Des Moines Music Coalition and I had a great time except I sat right next to the guy who books a huge casino and we disagreed on everything.. NO buddy PETER FRAMPTON does not need a booking agent.. Anyway much fun was had watching JC of house of bricks drink everyone under the table....

Ok so tonight is the start of the World Series.. I know you think Im a dick but Im going for the Red Sox... Why cause I love the stadiam, love the history, and frankly I love the American League.. Back in 91 when we got to go to the World Series still ranks as one of the greatest moments in my life looking up and saying to my dad we did it and seeing tears flow from his eyes,,, Then after the game my mom swinging her bra around on a turned over Minneapolis Bus... So good... totally what an 11 year old needs to see...
Well here is one of my favorite moments from that series go get em KENT!

CMJ WEEK makes me very tired!

Well Joe T and I got home around 4:30 am.. just under 5 hours to the week! When we took off for CMJ.. It was such a crazy time, I will give you a brief recap!

1. Ames to NYC is not that long of a drive when surrounded by friends.
2. Shawn K. is an amazing dude, with great stories, a big heart, sings great Karoke and knows great Vegan Nyc Restaraunts.. Good guy to have on your team..
3. Alli A. is an amazing dudet who draws well, has a small apartment, is a good budger, knows her beer and a great friend to have.
4. the Nyc airport sucks to get around
5. Playing shows in NYC are always fun, hot, and sweaty
6. Playing in the Hit Factory was amazing
7. Being in Boston during a play off game was not the best idea
8. all Besties are good people with big hearts
9. I love Ladybug Transister
10. I love Fishboy
11. I love being home..

Well Joe t. and I hit the road this am at 9:30... Nothing like a 20 hour drive to catch up on whats been going on in somebodys life..
it shall be good!
we are picking up our pal Shawn who is also our booking agent in South Bend.. Dev and Don the true rock stars are flying out in their privet jets for CMJ..
I wish ashley was coming we had another great rainy sunday together and I know im going to miss her so.. If you in Ames call and bug her to hang out.

What a Rush.. Not the Geddy Lee Kind

Man since Ashley has gotten home everything has been a total rush around.. we have been staying busy and stuff.. Lots happening.. My friends from High School Matt T (greatest drummer ever) and Amanda S. came and stayed with Ashley and I on Saturday and it was great fun, got some Great Plains Vegan Pizza and everything.. Good times for sure. I love my Sundays with Ash cause all we have to do is watch VIKING games unless I have to run sound.. and there was no Vikes on this week so we just got to hang out.. it was great..
Ashley calls me Buddy alot usually when Im driving and she says "Slowdown Buddy," or "brakes lights ahead Buddy" but on Sunday she was saying how much she liked Sundays to cause they were her, "SUNDAY BUDDY SUNDAY" which I thought was quite hillious!

I also got a mix cd from Sami for my b-day which I havent got a chance to listen to yet but I have to run sound tonight in Des Moines so thats going to give me a chance to do that!

We went to watch Hillary Clinton Speak last night and it was great seeing all her Peeps be frantic to make sure everything was statrickly how it was supposed to happen.. I looked a Secret Service guy right in the eyes and I enjoyed talking really loud and making up roomers like, "I HEARD SHE WAS AT La Fuente eating chips earlier" so all the people around me could hear.. IT was also great when My cell phone was blaring... Thanks to booking agent extrodinair Shawn for that one! Ashley dug Hill alittle more then I did ofcourse but It wasnt bad.. Im still for DENNIS K, then BILL R, then BARAK, Then KENT HRBEK for president! ANyway better get to work.. Hope your all well...
Oh on the last note my nephew COLE hit a grand Slam this weekend! Im so proud I have never hit a grand slam.. and thats pretty bad dang cool!

what a week

Well so much has been going on this week.. SO BUSY... I havent had a chance to even post a blog.. well I will give the short list of it...
1. Ashley comes home tommorow... FINNALLY!!!

9. Getting to play KEXP at CMJ rad.. also moved up the charts to #91 this week thats up 40 spots
10. Did I mention Ash is finnnally coming home! YES!!

Scorsese to direct George Harrison film

Martin Scorsese will direct a documentary film on the late Beatles guitarist George Harrison.

"Harrison's music and his search for spiritual meaning is a story that still resonates today and I'm looking forward to delving deeper," Scorsese said in an e-mailed press release Thursday.

"It would have given George great joy to know that Martin Scorsese has agreed to tell his story," Harrison's widow, Olivia, said.

Scorsese, who won his first Academy Award this year for directing "The Departed," has made other films focusing on music stars, including the 2005 documentary "No Direction Home: Bob Dylan" and 1978's "The Last Waltz."

Harrison, born in Liverpool, England, and the youngest of the Beatles, died at 58 in Los Angeles on Nov. 29, 2001, after battling lung cancer and a brain tumor.

Well yesterday kinda sucked...
work sucked but Im getting paid some this week! YIPPIE!

But today is going alright went to the dentist for the first time in about 6 years I have lost part of a my fake tooth and a whole other tooth since then.. but the dentist say my teeth look great other than that..
Now they want to do 4,000 dollars worth of stuff... OUCH..

The one thing I miss most about Ashley not being around is the funny stuff I want to tell her.. or the ideas I had for a new SNL skit.. and I cant.. kinda sucks.. she so nice always laughs at my bad jokes...

Well Im only eating smoothies till she gets home! well and coffee and oj..
and I think I'm going to go to the Arcade fire show in Minneapolis.. I found a General Admission Ticket on Craigs list.. so after the vikings upset the pack I will go stand outside the areana and get a front row spot for the NEON BIBLE show... ITs my favorite album of the year!

Well I have always been a lyrics guy.. I like good lyrics.. I have always wanted our band to write good lyrics.. well finnally some what thinks we do....

OK so my dream came true...

So when I was in high school I had two musical dreams 1 was to play the CMJ music fest.. which this October I will play for the 3rd time.. and the 2nd was to chart on the CMJ Charts.... Those are the only 2 dreams I ever had in music!
Yesterday I found out that we charted #130 on the top 200 CMJ charts...

So now everything else that we do in music is just Iceing on the Cake.. Ashley asked me what my new music goals are going to be and I said I'm not making any but I am going to try out for the IOWA CUBS next year...
Just kidding..

Well Ashley headed to Cincinatti yesterday.. IT took her about 12 hours with all the construction, rain, U-turns and car accidents but she made it and I'm happy she is getting to hang out with some colleegs this week and see some of her fam! I have been sitting in the house with all the lights off! EATing to much hummus!

And then Kansas City with the fam was great.. we all got burnt to a crisp sitting in the 2nd to the top row of Areohead stadiam but it was great fun haning with everone, one last time before we are split across the world even further than anyone would think.. but heres a quick summary of everyone..

3. Nathan ready to rock GERMANY.. good luck!
4. Becky always has Hummus for me and Im full
5. Tom made a Cocky Cheifs fan very scared for a second.. and hes stoneless

7 days without Tofu makes one WEEK!

Man this is a crazy week..
things that are happening this week...
1. The PCC cd goes to college radio-- if we chart on CMJ my last dream in music will be fulfiled and I can probably quit!
2. Ash and I will head to Columbia, MO to see WILCO with Dev and Pam.. Im stoked this will be my 8th Wilco show.. 2nd out doors!
3. The PCC have their cd release show this saturday at the M-shop... Our first ever offical headlining show there I think.
4. I get to see my entire family in Kansas City on Sunday before my bro heads to Germany and Ash heads to Omaha we are all meeting in KC to watch the vikes and hang out.. Should be fun..
5. Ashley heads to Cincinatti for a massage conference.. this is cool, but Im not at home by myself much.. I guess I get to see what its like when Im on tour...

either way.. busy week but should be good! Just like this........

LETS GO WIN A GRAMMY!

So I ran sound the other night for the first time for a Grammy winner... Yeah it was Jesse Harris who wrote that song, "Don't Know Why" by Nora Jones.. I was going to buy my friend Ladd 2 shots if he started yelling that song name out but he didnt so I kept my money..
It was kinda sad there was only about 15 people there but damn it was fun watching an amazing songwriter play.. And he was totally nice and very complimentary of me! so he gained a fan!

I fogot!

Well I had a wonderful weekend with the band.. We practiced and hung out with Joe L. from the Juice.. Devin brought up some STAG Beer and our practice ended up being a little like a show at the Vaud with no set list as the night wore on we got a little bit tipsy and started going back a bit into our catalog.. It was fun hanging with the guys.. We havent all been together since tour and it was so great hanging with everyone..
Gave don his bad as birthday Bowling trophy and i think he dug it so I was happy!

So then I drove home with the boys getting back around 3;30 then about 5;30 woke up and me and ashley headed back up to the Vikings game which was totally worth it.. the game was the best I have been to in a long time so much fun..

We then got to go to the St. Paul police impound lot since my little sis was in a car accident on Sat.. SHe is ok, luckily but she got some pretty good bumps and bruises on her bod.. form the Airbag and stuff... Scary shit..

but anyway it was great hanging with ash, ash, and pops for a bit..

But the thing I forgot is this.. SO we have chores at our house and Ashleys is to look good and she does very well at that and she has never forgot to do it..
my chore is to take out the garbage every monday.. I totally forgot. and now we have a huge watermelon stinking up our can!
Oh well.

REMIXING THE GREATEST

well its weird.. When they say there is going to be a new Remix of an old classic Bob Dylan song on the new Greatest Hits Columbia is releasing this year..
SO they got Hot Produceer Marc Ronson (amy winehouse rehab song) to remix one of my faves by Bobby.. And I thought come the fuck on.. But actually the song is really awsome.. Not as good as th 66 bootleg version with the Band backing him but I will take what I can get...

Also the video is a total ripp off of the Beatles Free as a Bird but hell great minds think alike!
